New purse!

I've decided to start a collection of mobile pics on flickr. I have also linked my twitter account to my facebook and my flickr account to twitter. so basically, any mobile pics I send to flickr will show up on my twitter which will double to my facebook. I know, it's genius, really. *polishes her fingernails on her shirt* yeah, I know. I'm just that cool.

anyway, this is my new purse. :) I spent many a moment trying to decide on which clutch I wanted to go with the dress I will be wearing tomorrow at a wedding Ethan and I will be attending.

For now, phone pics are all I have to share on my flickr account, and on here. Sure I have years and years worth of goodies to share with the world, but that would take hours upon hours of scanning old slides and prints. I don't have one of those new, fancy digital cameras all the kids are ravin' about these days, but I have my cell phone, and I have taken some pretty decent pics with it. So for now, I hope these (and anything I post in the future,) inspire oohs and awes. (Granted, there's plenty of pic on my flickr account that are not proper photography or gallery worthy, but they're fun to share.)

i thought i had uploaded these to flickr but apparently, i had not. i slack off so much at my passion you really wouldn't know where my love in life lays, would you? boo. :/

these were taken in early april, how the hell did it become almost june so quickly?
i guess that's what happens when you're busy.

i took these pictures upon leaving the hospital to visit my mom. she had pneumonia back then.. but that's a story that requires more txt than i wish to allow on this blog entry. on with the pretty:

..on emails of kiddo pics- i've been trying. the file sizes are too large. i have to individually scale them down. this could take me a while. apologies for giving you a tease, but i do intend on sharing these with you parents and other family members.

Mother's Day

oh goody

i just picked up my film from being developed!
actually.. i got off my lazy ass and put my pics on my computer from my camera. i just wanted to feel nostalgic and say something that i haven't said in a rather long time.

my dad and i went on a trip to El Paso to buy a vehicle from a friend of his. it was a nice trip. i enjoyed spending time with him on the road.
i don't have much to say, just that it's moments like this that i remember why the state i live in is called "the land of enchantment". it's a little easy to forget when you're stuck, rotting away in the city. not that the city doesn't hold some beauty in it in itself sometimes, it's just sparse and filled with dookie in between.
these pictures prove my point.. i took them on my way back from El Paso:

all of those were taken inside of the newly purchased vehicle, and therefore have some nice bug guts splatted on the windshield. you can see 'em if you look at larger versions of the pics, you know if you care to.. it's easier to see it you look at the clouds- the guts are gray and yellow-ish. ;)

oh and a close up of my dad, because his shades were colorful and he is an awesome guy ♥ :

i got to drive the truck back a small ways, it runs great. it is indeed a fun vehicle to drive. sporty. it's an '02 Ford Ranger. and Edge Ranger, actually. bright yellow, as one may have seen the hood in the above pictures.

when we got back my dad treated Ethan and myself to sushi at Shogun Sushi. it was really yummy! we had sake with it! which, along with the wasabi, was great for my sinuses since i've been suffering from hay fever lately.

i wanted to take pictures of our beautiful sushi plates, but the sleep deprivation, hunger, and overall ADD kept me from doing so. oh well. it was purdy.
